Student AA’s starting from September 2023 will be required to sit the AA Registration Assessment (AARA) to join the GMC register. The content map published last week, outlines what the AARA will cover. The assessment will be in 2 parts, a knowledge test and workplace based assessments. This is all in addition to the requirements of the University AA courses.
The first sitting of the Assessment is likely to be summer 2025.
